its also a good way to enjoy a little outdoors , here's a run down of all the important jobs to be cracking on with in January.

Check list

  • Start chitting potatoes
  • Prune apple and pear trees
  • Start forcing rhubarb
  • Plan veg rotation for the year
  • Dig over any empty spots in the veg patch

Ornamental

  • Repair/shape lawn edges
  • Prune deciduous trees and shrubs
  • Protect plants liable to frost damage with fleece

Indoor

  • Give house plants a misting with water every day or so

  • Feed the birds – make sure to keep food and water topped up
  • Check plant supports
