Rebel School In Kent

Who are The Rebel School?

When co-founder Alan Donegan went to a traditional business support service to get help with his business idea, the experience almost put him off starting a business. If the traditional approach put him off, imagine what it does for the rest of us.

The biggest barriers to getting a business started are: fear, money, and know-how. The traditional approach to getting started teaches business plans, how to access finance, and the legal requirements. The existing start-up support available doesn’t meet the needs of most people, it doesn’t remove people's barriers, it compounds them.

Together with Kent County Council, The Rebel School are running a free self-employment program for the whole county! They have been providing free and inclusive high quality entrepreneurship education for the past 10 years across the UK.

So if you've ever thought about starting you own business and making money doing something you love? The Rebel School are ripping up the rules to starting a business so that anyone can start a business, regardless of the starting point. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for help with getting your business off the ground, just learning the details like social media and tax or just exploring a new option, The Rebel School can help.

The programme runs from Mid-Jan to the end of March and consists of 10 sessions. It will be a blended delivery including some live online sessions via Zoom, pre-recorded masterclasses and 1-2-1 support, all especially for Kent residents and businesses. There are a limited number of spots so make sure to sign-up fast!
