Introducing Shemomedjamo, a brand new multicultural food festival coming to Mote Park, Maidstone

From the 1st to the 3rd September, a brand new event looking to join Multiple cultural practices, food and art from all over the world will be taking place in Mote Park. Not only is this a FREE event but it will include a great programme of music, dance, arts and crafts.

From Thai curry's to wood fired Italian pizzas, award-winning Seychelles-inspired dishes to the best Kolkata street food, festival goers can travel the world via their taste buds all weekend. Boasting a range of great food options, it's definitely a weekend you won't want to miss!

But its not all about the food. its a five-sense experience. The mouth-watering dishes, will be complemented by the sights, sounds and smells of cultural traditions and practices from around the world and an eclectic array of music. Offering a star-studded programme of music, festival goers will be treated to performances from the likes of iconic Dhol and Bhangra artists King Gurcharan Mall and the Dhol Blasters, Canadian folk outfit The Burning Hell, dancehall selector Jamie Rodigan, legendary dub and reggae crew Channel One Sound System and TootArd توت أرض, a “mountain rock reggae” band from the Occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
