Charlie’s Café and Bakery

If you’re looking to break up the day with tasty brunch or lunch (and you’ve been up for hours and are in serious need of caffeine), Charlie’s is the place to be. The ideal spot for meeting up with friends, we love the relaxed atmosphere and the extensive menu (there’s something for everyone) and there are plenty of vegan choices too. Load the kids up with Charlie’s special pancakes and they won’t want anything else until teatime! And if it’s just coffee, cake and milkshakes you need, Charlie’s has you covered.

Five Guys

Everyone (and we mean everyone) LOVES Five Guys. The burgers are always done to perfection and those fries…enough said! It’s perfect for picky eaters as every burger is bespoke and made to order – there’s no need to worry about removing the gherkins or scraping off the mayonnaise (we’ve all been there, right?). And if for some reason they don’t like burgers, Five Guys do a mean grilled cheese sandwich too. Eat in or take away, it’s your call.

Yummy Waffles

You’ve promised the kids a treat, but you’re not sure where to take them? How about Yummy Waffles? We’re talking crisp waffles with soft, chewy bubbles, literally loaded with ice cream, chocolate, fruit, sprinkles, sauces, biscuits and even edible flowers. The list goes on…

Tempted??

Kervan Sofrasi

Fed up with making dinner and want to treat the whole family to a celebratory meal, then we’d recommend Kervan Sofrasi. One of London’s most popular Turkish restaurants, we’re really lucky that it’s right on our doorstep. They’ve got a great kids’ menu and they do some fabulous desserts and mocktails too. And if you’re need of a cocktail after a long day at home doing crafts, say no more…

J’Adore Cakes

If holiday means cake, then get the whole family down to J’Adore Cakes RIGHT NOW. Whether you’re crazy for cup cakes or mad about macarons, there’s a yummy cake for every family member. They also do big, celebratory cakes too, so if you’re planning a half-term party and can’t face making a cake, take the kids down and let them choose their own – it’s bound to kill an hour (or two)!

Awesome Chips

For when ONLY chips will do!! Who doesn’t like chips? Especially when they’re hand-cut and twice-fried to make them crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Whether your lot like waffle, twister or LOADED fries, we can’t think of a better way to toast the half-term. Oh, and guess what? Awesome Chips now do a CHIPIZZA (a delicious fusion of chips and freshly made pizza dough). Just saying…

Fast Food

If you’re heading out for the day and you want to grab and go, or eat on the run, we’ve plenty of fast-food eateries to choose from (and the bonus is, you can all have something different – we know what it’s like with little ones)! If you fancy a sandwich, there’s Subway, for something a little spicier, there’s Chaiiwala and at Burger King, there are kids’ meals aplenty.

Pret

Planning a picnic? Pop into Pret and grab everything you need! We’re loving their latest range – there’s plenty of children-sized sandwiches, crisps, juices and sweet treats and of course, you can grab a (much-needed) coffee while you’re at it.

Half-term doesn’t have to be expensive. If you’re a Club Pret member, you can get up to five barista-made drinks a day, including the delicious new Pret Coolers and 20% off everything (yes, everything) on the menu for just £30 a month! Plus, your first month is half price – at just £15!

Yummy Cup Corn

Hands up who’s trying to get their kids to eat more veg? Make sure they get their five a day this holiday with a cup of freshly cooked, delicious, yet nutritious corn. Yummy Cup Corn sells steamed, organic sweetcorn in a whole host of different flavours. It’s bound to be a big hit with the kids (and it’s healthy too, so you’ll feel like a good parent)!
