Fun Palaces is Back - 4th Oct

Join us In Maidstone October 4th for a fun-packed day of FREE activities across the 4 shopping centres:

We will have around 30 activities covering arts and crafts, the performing arts, science and technology and sport. They will take place in the 4 shopping precincts in Maidstone -Fremlin Walk, Benchley, The Mall and The Royal Star Arcade. The focus is on learning and  community engagement while having fun – with something for everybody.

Fun Palaces is an ongoing campaign for community at the heart of culture and culture at the heart of every community. Fun Palaces supports local people to co-create their own cultural and community events, across the UK and worldwide, sharing and celebrating the genius in everyone.

In the Mall there will be 

• Crafts with The Mall
• Painting by numbers - Help to create 3 giant canvases of Maidstone
• Harmony arts activity - Create still life drawings
• Embroidery with the Mid Kent Embroidery and Textiles team
• Knitting with Making Miracles
• Build a Queen workshop
