6 Alternative Father's Day Gifts
We have come up with 6 great money saving ideas to show your Dad he is the best.
1) Bake a Cake – How about making a lovely, Victoria sponge is incredibly delicious and easy to whip up. We like this Holland and Barrett recipe check it out here.
2) Homemade card - Nothing says I love you more than a made card. So, whether you are great at drawing or simply decorate it with lots of stickers. The fact you have spent time creating it is sure to melt his heart. Our top tip: why not use an old cereal box for the card and use a picture from a colouring book for the front.
3) Breakfast in bed - Sometimes it’s good to get back to basics. Breakfast in bed is the perfect treat for Dad on Father's Day. Just make sure you don’t spill the drink.
4) Mow the lawn - Let Dad sit in the sunshine while you do the weekly gardening or lawn mowing. Giving him a weekend off and allow him to enjoy it.
5) Treasure Hunt – You can make this as simple or complicated as you like. Just hide one of his favourite chocolate bars somewhere in the house, then working backwards place clues to its location. It can be as long or short as you like or for as long as the kids are interested! The clues can be pictures, riddles or simple directions…the choice is yours.
6) Personal gift vouchers - You can create a set of gift vouchers for your Dad to use whenever he wants. They could include a voucher for a lovely cuppa, car cleaning or maybe a cheeky takeaway. They could be anything totally personalised to your Dad…We like the idea of “Hug vouchers” for when we can.
