Half Term Kids activity at The Mall Wood Green
SHOPPERS AT THE MALL WOOD GREEN PUT ON THEIR BEST FACES FOR CHARITY
Visitors to The Mall, Wood Green, joined in the fun this half-term and got their faces painted in aid of the Godwin Lawson Foundation (GLF), raising a generous sum for the local charity.
The Mall’s team of face painters were out in force during the school holiday spreading a little half-term happiness and raising money for the popular and hardworking charity.
Choosing a bright and cheerful spring theme, the face painters created lovely floral designs, unicorns and butterflies, which were a very popular choice with the little girls. It was really rewarding seeing how pleased the children were with their personalised designs and several parents commented how nice it was that it was all in aid of such a good cause.
We know that every little helps and hope that by staging regular events in aid of the GLF we can try to raise its profile and ultimately encourage our local community to take a stand against knife crime and become peace ambassadors.
This event was our first this year in aid of GLF. We plan do similar events throughout the year, focusing on the school holidays so that families can come together, have fun and raise money for a very worthy charity.
