MBC & The Mall's Christmas Donation Hub Returns
14th Nov - 13th Dec
Great news the Christmas Donation Hub is return for the second year! The appeal is once again asking for festive gifts, decorations, toys and food items for those who may not otherwise be able to afford to celebrate this year.
Last year the people of Maidstone generously gave the Christmas Donation Hub over £18,000 worth of donations by more than 800 people. The Hub which opened between 13 November and 16 December in The Mall was introduced by the Council and The Mall to support local charitable organisations with all the donated items shared between the charities which distributed them.
The Hub will be open from the 14th of November until the 13th of December, from 9.30 to 3.30pm every Monday to Saturday. the charities we will be supporting this year are:
- Maidstone Community Support Centre
- Mid-Kent Mind
- Fusion
- Age UK Maidstone
- Wishing Hearts
- Princess Project
- Family Food Banks/Community Larders
- MADM
- St Faiths Centre
- Blackthorn Trust
The items currently in need are:
- New children’s toys (we’re sorry but we are not able to take used or second-hand items)
- Festive gifts
- Christmas decorations
- Non-perishable food items
All donations made to The Appeal will be shared between local charitable organisations who will then distribute the gifts to those who need them most. MBC and The Mall would like to say a huge thank you in advance to everyone who is able to donate. to this Christmas Appeal, To find out more about the Maidstone Christmas Family Appeal please go to the community pages on: maidstone.gov.uk
