Elmer’s coming to town this summer!

19th Jun - 22nd Aug

The Mall Maidstone is excited to announce we are supporting the Heart of Kent Hospice this year with their Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade!

The Parade was meant to take place in 2020 but last March, the Hospice had to take the decision to postpone the parade.   However, what could be more fitting than to have parade run on the Hospice’s 30th anniversary year, 2021.  The parade will start on the 19th June and run for nine weeks finishing on the 22nd August.  Perfect for the summer holidays

The Elmer the Elephant is the well know character from David McKees children’s book.  The lovable elephant is full of colour, just like the status that will fill Maidstone.  Elmer and friends have each been commissioning by different artists to paint.  Each statue has been individually painted and tells a unique story.  I am sure you would agree, this is just what Maidstone needs after what has been a difficult year for everyone.

Here at the Mall Maidstone we think we have the best two status but when the trail is launches you will be able to pick your favourites.
