Share a story with The Mall Maidstone

This month is Share a story month so we have asked a few members from The Mall Maidstone team which story book is their favourite.

Suzie Brindle our Marketing Manager and her daughter said their current favourite story book is Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywait. She loves the concept of the book and how it tells a story in a unique way. This book can be purchased from The Works for £6.99.

Hollie Jenner our Centre Administrator said her favourite story book(s) are from the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. She says  "I can relate to the main character, Becky Bloomwood, so much – we are both very similar (love to shop and hopeless romantics) so I find myself engrossed in all these books. I have recently read Shopaholic ties the knot as I, myself, got married last year … however there is always something that goes wrong in Becky's life. Shopaholic Ties The Knot is a perfect book to read about the craziness that happens at and before weddings. It has funny moments, add in crazy controlling mothers and all the while trying to stay out of trouble – I just loved it."  Available from The Works for £7.99.

Nicole Burton our Ask Me Point Assistant has said one of her all time favourite story books is My Mad Fat Teenage Diary,  she says "I love that it shows the real thoughts of a teenager mind about their insecurities, social groups and general life but does it in a light-hearted manner. The main character Rae Earl is a unique, has a funny personality and a bit odd to outsiders (which may sum myself up too!) I think the book is a real eye opener to the inside daily life of a teen. My Mad Fat Teenage Diary can be purchased from The Works for £8.99.

Jo Lucas our Ask Me Point Assistant loves the book Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. Jo says "I think this book is great it's all about using your imagination! It is one of those books where you can just completely lose yourself. I mean who wouldn't want to be transported through a wardrobe into another destination?!" This book can purchased from The Works for £10.99.
