The Mall Luton charities of the year

The Mall Luton has decided to expand our Charity of the Year to include two charities that are crucial to the Luton community. This year our Charities of the Year are Luton Foodbank and Level Trust.

Both of whom work hard to support the most vulnerable in our community at a time when it is needed most.

Luton Foodbank is a non-profit organisation run entirely for the benefit of people in and around Luton who need emergency food. Their aim is to eradicate food poverty in Luton and to support people so that they can take steps to overcome the problems they face.

Non-perishable food is donated at collection points across the town which volunteers then take to their warehouse and sort into parcels. These parcels provide enough food for one person for up to three days.

A food drop-off point is located in The Mall opposite Tesco, along with a tap to donate machine where guests can donate £3, £5 or £10.

Level Trust is a charity who help families overcome the costs of education so all children in Luton have the chance to love learning. From providing free uniform to educational resources for local children, their aim is to ‘level the playing field’ for children and young people so that regardless of background every child in Luton has access to everything they need to fulfil their potential at school.

A drop-off point for uniform donations can be found outside their Uniform Exchange store on the Gallery Level of The Mall.

Our team will work with both charities to help support them over the next 12 months, from fundraising to volunteering and raising awareness of the work they do, our aim is to get involved. Keep an eye on our website and socials for updates throughout the year.
