The Mall Luton is looking for new charity partner for 2019

The Mall Luton is looking for another deserving charity to support in 2019, as part of the centre’s Mall Cares Programme.

The Mall Cares initiative sees each of The Mall shopping centres run its own unique charitable programme of fundraising activities and The Mall Luton is now encouraging charities to apply for the chance to be the centre’s Charity of the Year for 2019.

Throughout 2018, The Mall has worked closely with The OLLIE Foundation - a suicide prevention and intervention training charity focused particularly on young people - to increase awareness of the charity amongst the Luton community whilst also fundraising for them.

The Mall has raised nearly £11,650 specifically for OLLIE through staff fundraising events such as bake sales and a gruelling 235-mile charity bike ride, portrait and caricature donations, Christmas gift-wrapping and the virtual reality event held in summer.

Overall, the Luton Mall Cares fundraising programme helped to raise over £81,000 for local charities and organisations during 2018.
