Poppy Making for Remembrance Day 2018

22nd Oct - 24th Oct

During October half-term, children are invited to join Luton arts collective Flamingo Arts for a series of workshops in The Mall, Luton to make hundreds of light-up poppies for Remembrance Day on Sunday 11th November 2018.

The workshops will be held on Monday 22nd and Wednesday 24th October and children who take part will then be invited to come to the town hall with their families on the evening of Sunday 11th November for hot chocolate and refreshments, and to lay their poppies on the town hall steps and war memorial. Luton council is marking 100 years since the end of World War 1 and will be putting on an additional programme to the traditional morning commemorations; spectacular projections onto the town hall, music from the Salvation Army band and spoken word by local poets.

Limited spaces are available so please register here.
