The Luton St Patrick’s Festival 2018 offers an exciting mix of live music, dancing, a parade, and a comedy drama. Organised by the Luton Irish Forum and running from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th March, all events except the drama are free to attend.
Friday features two live performances (4pm and 8pm) of the acclaimed comedy drama, A Wake In The West, by Cliffoney Dramatic Society in the Library Theatre. Tickets are available now (£12, £10 concessions), online and in person from The Hat Factory (Mon-Fri, 11am-6pm).
Saturday offers a choice of free live music and dance at Luton Irish Forum in Hitchin Road from 11am to 3.30pm. John Devine & friends will be playing traditional Irish music, Eugene Doonan singing Irish country, The Wilsons Show performing a mix of rock and party hits, and the Finbarr Conway Academy of Irish Dancing showcasing talented local dancers.
Parade day is Sunday and features lots of free entertainment in the town centre, both on an outdoor stage at Market Hill and in Smith's Square inside The Mall.
Market Hill is hosted on Sunday (10.30am to 4pm) by local DJ and Diverse FM presenter Jim Carway, with headline acts such as Tommy Fleming, Rigs and Jeels, and The Bible Code Sundays.
