What's on - Mall Cares Heart Strings: show you care
As part of a national Mall wide initiative we are trying to raise £1 million for charity. To help towards this total we are selling Heart strings from our Ask Me Point in Market Square.
Our objective is to sell 250,000 heart strings - each heart string sold contributes to 50 metres in our bid to circle the UK's coastline.
We're hoping to raise as much money for possible for our Mall Cares charities, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and The Dog's Trust - Harefield Two very worthwhile charities.
The Make a Wish Foundation; grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions and, through sales of the Mall Cares Charity Cook Book we hope to grant wishes to at least five children.Whether a wish is to be a princess or a policeman for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides memories for the family that last a lifetime.
The Dogs Trust - Harefield; Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust, formerly known as the NCDL, has always campaigned on dog-welfare related issues to ensure a safe and happy future for our four-legged friends. Rehoming The health and happiness of every dog is at the heart of all our efforts and we try to find each and every dog in our care a loving home for life. The Dog's trust never destroy a healthy dog.
Attach these gorgeous charms are available for a minimum donation of just £1 and attach to your handbag or rear view mirror in your car. They're a great way to show the community you care.
