What's on - Marks & Spencer crowned Shoppers Favourite
Sutton's shoppers have crowned Marks & Spencer as their favourite Mall retailer at The Mall's 6th annual Retailer Awards ceremony. Over 250 guests including Mall Management and Mall retailers attended the Awards Ceremony which was held at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.
In total seven shops were presented with Mall Awards during the evening. The Mall Sutton Coldfield's retailers collectively decided upon several awards including Best Retail Presentation won by La Senza; Best Independent Retailer collected by Poppy Black and Excellence in Customer Service awarded to Republic. The Body Shop also scooped this year's new award for Excellence in Health & Safety. The award for Best Involvement in Marketing Initiatives went to Boots and was chosen by The Mall Management Team. Boots received the award in light of their continued hard work and help throughout the year on both independent and joint marketing initiatives.
The big prize of the evening, Overall Best Retailer of The Mall Sutton Coldfield 2008 went to Ann Summers and was decided by the Mall retailers in conjunction with Mall Management. This was based upon Ann Summers' achievements in each of the above areas and in accordance with specific criteria.
Richard Bowler, General Manager of The Mall Sutton Coldfield said: "The Mall Retailer Awards are our unique opportunity to both award and thank our retailers for all the hard work they have put in throughout the year. Everyone who attended the evening had a fantastic time and many were still dancing into the early hours!"
