What's on - Fresh, New Look for the Mall Sutton Coldfield

This week, Mall shoppers will be able to see the new-look Mall for the first time. Over the past few weeks, numerous areas of the Mall have been landscaped by (local) company Office Landscapes These improvements will offer shoppers a relaxed ambience and give them somewhere to sit and relax and have lunch.

Improvements include new lighted bollards at each entrance of the Mall, a new 'palm tree' seating area in Castle Court (opposite Argos) and a new, quiet garden area in front of the Post Office. The Mall's popular Ask Me Point has also been moved outside WHSmith to make it more visible and place it at the hub of the centre. There has also been a complete landscape overhaul in North Mall and new hanging baskets throughout the Mall.

Richard Bowler, General Manager of The Mall Sutton Coldfield, said, "Since we opened these new areas a few days ago, we have had excellent feedback from our shoppers who have commented that these improvements really lift the overall atmosphere in the town centre. We are constantly looking for new ways that we can enhance the enjoyment of our shoppers' experience and these works follow an ongoing and significant programme of investment aimed at improving all of our key facilities. As such, we look forward to playing a major role in the future development of Sutton Coldfield as a shopping destination."

These works follows market research undertaken by The Mall last summer in which shoppers were asked about any changes they would like to see within the centre. Additional seating was mentioned by a number of shoppers, and The Mall has responded by installing entirely new seating in each new area.
