Mall gives retail opportunity to new local businesses

As part of a nationwide competition, the Mall Romford is giving local businesses their first step in retail, for free.

In partnership with Make Your Mark and The Royal Bank of Scotland, the Mall ran a competition throughout December and January, offering 2 weeks free trading from a Retail Merchandising Unit (RMU).

Commented Peter Callagher, General Manager of The Mall Romford.

A local panel of judges chose 3 finalists, who will each trade for 2 weeks.
Let them eat bread.com starts off the first weeks of trading on Monday 18 February. For a two week period the RMU will become home to made to order cakes, handmade chocolates, bread and rolls, specialising in organic products and a range of to foods suit allergy sufferers.

Trading from Monday 3 March for 2 weeks will be 'Eva Diamond' selling a combination of hand made African clothes, shoes and accessories, together with black earth beauty products and speciality Nigerian make-up.

The third lucky hopeful will commence trading from the 17th selling a new age realm of incense sticks, fragranced granules, oils and burners.
