What's on - Top of the Class

30th Nov 07Supermodel school

The final five, who had to fight off hot competition from over two hundred competitors, will have to impress the judges with their talent in their final exam when they attend a fashion photoshoot on Wednesday, 28 November.

"We had already narrowed down our wannabe models from 200 to the 100 who came down to The Mall for hair styling by Toni & Guy, and a makeover session with a top London stylist . When we put together the galleries and looked at the before and after pictures in the Romford Recorder, we were amazed at the calibre of the contestants. The decision was so tough that five finalists were chosen rather than four." says Sarah De Courcy Rolls, Marketing Manager at The Mall, Romford, We can't wait to get these models back and in our latest Winter and Christmas collections.

The five finalists are:

Rebecca White, aged 19 from Romford.Rebecca is studying to be a primary school teacher at Greenwich Unerversity. She certainly scores top of the class in the readers' eyes.

Shanice Bailey, aged 15 from Romford. Shanice, is currently attending Brittons School and Technology College. Though her favourite subject is graphics, Shanice, like Reece Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, intends to bring glamour to the legal system when she enrols in a Legal Secretarial course after college.

Rachel Luby, aged 19 from Dagenham enjoys ballroom dancing, but is currently Foxtrotting her way through a  Primary Education course at Roehampton University.

Seventeen year old, photography student Sally Underhill from Rainham, will find herself on the other side of the lens in this competition. After finishing her studies at Havering Sixth Form College she hopes to specialise in Wedding Photography.

Scott Porter aged 19 from Hornchurch loves shopping and going to the gym, but he¹s keeping his eye on the ball with a six month tennis training course, which he hopes will lead to a career in tennis coaching.

This is a first time experience for all five of the Supermodel School¹s final selection as none of them have entered a modelling competition before.

Once again the models will recieve a make over and styling session with Toni & Guy, and will be kitted out in the latest fashion from The Mall before taking part in their final photoshoot.

Once the judges have made their final decision, one model will rule the school and win £200 worth of fashion goods from The Mall, a professional photo shoot and a personal portfolio, while second placed model receives the same package with a clothes prize of £100. The three runners-up will take part in the photoshoot that will be featured in a forthcoming fashion spread in the Romford Recorder.
