What's on - The Mall Middlesbrough Becomes Child Safety Zone

Keeping children safe and sound is a priority for parents which is why a new child safe shopping scheme was launched at The Mall Middlesbrough on April 12th.

The scheme - 'Child Safe Zones' - is a simple and effective and has already been very well received by families at other shopping centres up and down the country.

Blue and orange posters and stickers have been prominently displayed in shop windows showing a smiley orange balloon and a telephone number. If a parent loses sight of their child they should ring the number on the poster and speak to The Mall's security team who will help.

Parents will also be advised to stay close to the area where they last saw their child. The extra eyes of the CCTV will also help in the search.

One of the simplest ways in which parents can help shopping centre staff reunite a lost child with their family quickly, is to write a mobile number on a free wristband, available every visit, from the Ask Me Point on Newton Mall, The Mall Middlesbrough.

David McNee, General Manager at The Mall Middlesbrough, said: "Our customers have told us they are very pleased with the introduction of this scheme which will make shopping with small children less stressful. We have also had excellent feedback from other Malls in the country who have already adopted this scheme so we know it works."

The Mall Middlesbrough Child Safe shopping service is free to all our shoppers. Pick up a leaflet from the Ask Me Point for further information.
