What's on - Who are your local champions?

With less than 200 days until the start of the Olympics, people across the country are getting into the spirit of the 2012 sporting events. To celebrate, The Mall is launching a campaign that encourages sports in the local community and will reward one of Luton's favourite youth sporting organisations for the work it does in the town.

Do you know a local club or group that supports and promotes healthy or active lifestyles for under 21 year olds? If so, then they could receive £5,000!

Nominate your local youth football team, dance class or karate club and they could become The Mall Luton's local champions!

On the 10th February, three local groups will be shortlisted from all the nominations received, then shoppers at The Mall who spend £20 can visit the Ask Me Point (outside M&S) to receive a token to assign to one of the three shortlisted groups. On 10th September the group that have received the most tokens will receive a cheque for £5,000! This will help to buy new equipment, a new football strip or even secure a practice room for a while!

But first, local clubs must be nominated to be included. The nomination process will last three weeks and people will be able to nominate at The Mall or by clicking here.

Nomination criteria:

• Organisation have to be involved with the under 21's
• Organisations must be committed to promoting a healthy / active lifestyle
• The organisation must be local scale only. No national organisations.
• The final date for submitting a nomination is the 6th February. Three organisations will then be chosen from nominations to benefit from the in Mall token collections from the 20th February.
