What's on - The Mall Edgware Raises Funds for Local Charity
The glitzy girl group - current Sony TV Boogie Woogie Bollywood champions - strutted their stuff at The Mall Edgware on Saturday 2nd June. The Flash Angels' two performances were part of a week-long series of charity events at The Mall Edgware organised in support of The London Taxi Drivers Fund for Underprivileged Children.
Further fund-raising activities throughout the week at The Mall in Station Road, Edgware included a raffle offering a range of exciting prizes, family entertainers including face painting and creative balloon modelling and special popcorn and candyfloss stalls with proceeds going to the taxi drivers' fund.
The Mall Edgware has chosen The London Taxi Drivers Fund for Underprivileged Children as its new Mall Cares charity. The fund has been in operation for nearly 80 years and seeks to support children with particular needs from all walks of life in a wide variety of ways ranging from financial help to fund medical equipment to days out at the seaside.
Angela Greenlees, General Manager of The Mall Edgware, said: "One of the greatest strengths of the taxi drivers fund is that it concentrates on supporting local children while keeping its running costs to a minimum. That means people who make donations during our week of activities at The Mall can do so in the knowledge that their contribution will make a real difference to the quality of life of children who truly deserve our help."
