What's on - VODAFONE RELOCATE TO THE MALL
Vodafone invested £300k into the relocation of their Barnsley store to the Mall Alhambra, which opened on 11th April.
After twelve years at its previous location on May Day Green, regeneration plans lead Vodafone to search for a more prominent location within the town centre.
Situated on the ground floor of The Mall opposite Primark, the new Vodafone shop employs five people including shop manager Lee Fletcher.
Lee, who has managed Vodafone's Barnsley shop for eight years, said "I believe the move will have a very positive effect on both customers and employees. The retail environment within The Mall is a great improvement of that in our May Day Green location and I'm sure that this will have an encouraging effect on the footfall, in addition to the branding benefits for both ourselves and The Mall that will come from this new relationship."
Mark Broadhead, General Manager at the Mall adds: "We are delighted that Vodafone have chosen to relocate their Barnsley branch to The Mall. Vodafone is a fantastic brand and I'm sure that it will be a great addition for customers visiting the Mall and compliment our existing retail offering".
