What is London Week of Peace?
The Week of Peace was launched in Haringey in September 2001 as a response to local community safety, with thousands of people attending a peace concert, a peace walk and prayer walks around crime hotspots.
Hillingdon Inter Faith Network (HIFN), Hillingdon Police and Hillingdon Council are working together on a range of events for Hillingdon Week of Peace 2008. There will be a promotional site located in The Mall Pavilions from 1st to the 14th of September, where members of the public can find out more information, advice and Activities taking place during Hillingdon peace week.
Poetry competition.
Get involved in Hillingdon Week of Peace by entering our poetry competition. We are running a poetry competition based on the theme: 'Peace is when people get along'. This theme is inspired by the winning design in last year's poster competition which is being used for all Hillingdon Week of Peace 2008 publicity. The competition is open to individuals of all ages. Closing date for entries is 31 August 2008.Submit your poem using the online entry form.
