Enviromall
EnviroMall is the first national environmental accreditation scheme specifically designed for shopping centres. It aims to minimise shopping centres' impact on the environment through working with retailers and shoppers. The scheme provides an assessment regime which measures environmental impact and continual improvement over time
The partnership is made up of Envirowise, Upstream, The Mall, the Carbon Trust and the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme. Each organisation brings knowledge and skills in their areas of expertise, which will be pooled to devise the shopping centre specific accreditation.
EnviroMall Week's goal is to raise awareness of easy, low or no-cost ways to combat climate change and encourage shoppers to promise to make small changes to their lifestyle and have a positive effect on the environment.

Textile Recyling
This year The Mall Romford launched their fashion amnesty where shoppers are invited to clearout thier wardrobes and put all their old fabrics to good use while helpping to raise money for Mall Cares charities. Every year the British public throw away over a million tonnes of textiles, the vast majority of which could be reused or recycled offering an environmentally friendly alternative to this wastage. By depositing your textiles into our recycling bin siutated on level 2 by the AMP, your clothes, shoes and textiles will receive a second lease of life instead of being sent to the dump. We can reuses and recycle virtually every kind of textile, from t-shirts to saris to school uniforms, shoes, trainers, football kits, hats, belts, jackets. The list is endless and if you have any household textiles to donate such as towels, bed sheets or curtains, these can also be reused.
