Mall Retailer Awards Evening 2008
The Orsett Hall Hotel was the place to be for glitz and glamour on Thursday 24 July, when it played host to the first joint celebration, for the annual 'Mall Retail Awards' for The Mall Romford and The Mall Ilford.
The theme of the night was 1920's, and the outfits did not disappoint. Guests were transported back in time with guys dressed as gangsters, complete with trilby's and white ties and the girls as flapper girls. Prohibition was most definitely over as the guests enjoyed a free bar, 3 course dinner, chocolate fountains and dancing.
'This awards ceremony is our unique opportunity to thank and reward our shops and stores for the excellent service that they offer to customers throughout the year,' commented Peter Callagher, General Manager
Around 300 people attended the awards ceremony, including representatives from The Mall head office, local dignitaries from both Romford and Ilford including The Mayor and Mayoress of Havering, Romford MP Andrew Rosindell and Romford's Town Centre Manager Gillian Balfe. This not forgetting the real stars of the evening, the retailers from both Ilford and Romford Mall's
