What's on - The Mall Bexleyheath Supports the Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice
The Mall Bexleyheath is proud to announce that our chosen charity for 2008 is the Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice working closely with the charity throughout the year to provide support and funds for their ongoing work with people within the borough who need respite, symptom control or specialist palliative care, and for those who are suffering with a life limiting illness and offering support for their families.
The therapies and care which they provide help patients live to their full potential. A stay in the Hospice or regular visits to their day centre, clinics and counseling support can bring about a whole new improvement to the quality of life.
The Hospice is a registered charity and has to raise over two thirds of its income (over £2 million a year) from the community with approximately one third being provided by Bexley Care Trust and Greenwich Primary Care Teaching Trust.
We believe the Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice is a very worthy cause and we will be planning lots of exciting activities to help the Hospice continue their amazing work.
