Scarlet Woman

How to get the look...
Eyes
False eyelashes are key to old style Hollywood glamour; lashes need length and volume to flutter seductively. Slick on fluid black eye liner in a dramatic strip.
Skin
Apply concealer with a light touch where needed to create smooth 1940's Hollywood skin. Those who need more coverage should choose a matt foundation. Add a dash of 'pinched cheek colour' for a sexy just been kissed flush. Apply a dusting of matt loose powder with a puff over the t-zone (avoiding the glistening cheeks) for a soft cashmere look.
Lips
Outline lips with a scarlet red pencil. Break the lip line into quarters to make it easier to fill the shape. Start at the outer corners then line the cupid's bow, before joining. Use a creamy dramatic red lipstick to paint the lips using a lip brush, then apply a slick of molten gloss.
Dab balm on the apples of the cheeks for a healthy twinkle. Use an eyebrow brush and brush down the brows to find the arch. Use a dark eyebrow pencil and fill in the arch, then draw in and extend the rest of the brow. Draw in a couple of end lashes with eye liner for a couture edge!
Hair
Use wide barrelled tongs or rollers to curl hair and give root volume. Clip curls up with grips until they've cooled and set. Turn the head upside down and brush out briskly. Spray with firm hold hair spray. For added Hollywood siren glamour clip up the side of the hair. Bring hair back into the twenty first century with a tousle and serum to define the curls.
Nails
Add a modern twist to the French manicure, by using two tones of scarlet polish.
