Nintendo Wii
Wii is fresh, new, and different - but most importantly, Wii is bags of fun. Offering incredible new technology that has innovated the way we play in the home, Nintendo's fantastically accessible motion-sensitive controller has rewritten the videogame rulebook. Anyone, of any age with any skill level can pick up and play a Wii and its unique games bridge generation gaps.
Not as powerful as the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3, the Wii's trump card is pure playability, and it's motion sensitive controls. It won't play high definition DVD movies like the Playstation 3, but it does have built-in Wi-Fi to connect wirelessly to the internet and download new content and play online.

A number of attachments are available for the 'wand' motion sensitive controller, turning it into a tennis racket or steering wheel, making playing games such as Wii sports even more intuitive.
The 'nunchuck' controller (pictured here) is used in conjunction with the standard controller, adding a thumbstick joystick and trigger buttons for games that require more complex controls.
The Wii is a great family games console, designed for more light-hearted entertainment, and is guaranteed to get the everyone playing together. It's sure to be one of the biggest selling items this Christmas, so get your order in quick.
