Team Mall - Gail Emms

Gail has been playing badminton professionally for five years, although she first took up the sport aged three when her parents gave her a cut-down racket and threw shuttles to her. Gail made her debut for England in 1995, and is currently ranked World number one in mixed doubles.

She and her partner Nathan Robertson won Silver at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, and were named European Champions in the same year. Gail also took Gold at the Commonwealth Games and World Championships in 2006.

Gail's sights are now firmly set on Beijing 2008, where she aims to win the Gold they were so close to winning in Athens.

Gail is representing the following Malls, click to visit their What's On pages: Camberley; Maidstone; Barnsley; Norwich; Luton; Sutton Coldfield
