Shoppers could win up to £1,000
The Mall, the UK's leading community shopping centre owner and operator has revealed its first campaign featuring newly signed 'brand ambassador' Denise Van Outen....'This is Entertainment 2009'...
From the first week in May Denise will front a nationwide promotion in support of The Mall's entertainment retailers (this includes Books, CD's, Mobile phones and Games). When shoppers spend certain amounts of money in any store within one of the 20 malls across the UK, they will be given the chance - by trying their hand at dedicated scratchcards - to win daily cash prizes and a star prize of £1,000 worth of entertainment goods. The Mall has also produced a product guide featuring local retailers' offers within the entertainment sector.
Denise explained " I absolutely love being an entertainer - ever since stage school. And so am particularly thrilled that my relationship with The Mall has kicked off with them helping shoppers get hold of bargains in music , books , films and lots more. I am sure it will attract thousands of people. With 'staying in' becoming the new 'going out' more nowadays it all helps"
The campaign will be supported by fully integrated local advertising and Point of Sale material featuring Denise in selected images. She will also be sharing her entertainment preferences and views on The Mall's website - themall.co.uk. Mall retailers taking part in the Entertainment promotion include HMV, WH Smith, Game, Waterstones, Thomson, Sony Centre and Sky.
The Mall is also launching a brand new set of touchpoint messages both at its centre entances plus supporting its Spend Me card, Reward ME scheme and Mall Cares local charity programme - again all featuring images of Denise in POS material and on Mall TV.
John Wringe, Consultant Marketing Director of The Mall comments "The aim is to use Denise as a focal point for all our brand and promotional messages in order to strengthen cut through and effect. The campaign forms part of an ongoing strategy to maximise the shopping experience for our shoppers and assist retailers in driving footfall and building incremental sales.
Follow on campaigns are planned for Health & Beauty and Fashion platforms in July and October respectively.
