LEADING SHOPPING CENTRE OWNER THE MALL TO SPONSOR ITV1'S FAMILY FORTUNES
ITV and FremantleMedia Enterprises announced today that The Mall, the UK’s leading community shopping centre brand, is to sponsor the next series of the talkbackTHAMES-produced show, All Star Family Fortunes, which will air on ITV1.
All Star Family Fortunes, hosted by Vernon Kay, sees two celebrities and their families compete for a top prize of £30,000 that goes to the charity of their choice. The first series, which launched in 2006, averaged 5.4 million people, peaking with 6.7m viewers and included famous faces such as Chris Moyles, Gabby Logan and Fearne Cotton.
The Mall, established since 2002 is the UK's leading community shopping centre brand - owning and operating 23 Malls located at the heart of local communities from Aberdeen to Southampton, Bristol to Norwich. Over 4.5 million shoppers visit a local Mall every week.
Significant investment in development and refurbishment at all 23 Malls is continuing with a major branding exercise culminating this Autumn that will see all remaining centre names converted to The Mall brand.
This sponsorship deal is a key element in an extensive marketing, branding and communications plan for the business.
As part of the agreement, The Mall has also secured an off-air package of rights from FremantleMedia Enterprises, licensor of the Family Fortunes brand, which will grant The Mall rights to mount an integrated series of in-mall promotions, POS, merchandising, experiential and local advertising activities all under The Mall and Family Fortunes brands.

The deal was negotiated directly between Leon Barnett, Business Development Director at ITV and Dominic Burns at FremantleMedia Enterprises with John Wringe, Consultant Marketing Director at The Mall.
