UK's Leading Community Shopping Centre Brand

NEW CHAIR TO BCSC/CEM DIPLOMA ADVISORY BOARD

1 May 2009

Mark Bourgeois, Operations Director at The Mall, has been appointed to Chair the Advisory Board to the BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management. He takes over from Gordon Gabbanni, who held the position for 10 years.

Commenting on the appointment Mark said " Having been involved with the Advisory Board for the past four years I was delighted to be nominated as Chairman. It's rewarding to work with the College of Estate Management and BCSC in helping to shape the future of the Diploma. The Board recognises it's responsibility to ensure the course content evolves in a relevant and contemporary format and with the board members, I'm looking forward to that continued challenge. The Diploma stands out as the unique and vital qualification for those involved in shopping centre management and I'd urge anyone considering it to take the plunge"

Ann Heywood, Principal of the College of Estate Management added: "We are tremendously grateful to Gordon for all the work he has done as Chairman, and are delighted that Mark has taken on the role. Our Advisory Board plays a crucial role in shaping the future content of the course and we are confident Mark will make a unique contribution, having experienced life both as a CEM student and a retail property and shopping centre professional."

The course has been running since 1988 and has awarded over 560 Diploma's in that time. For more details visit the College of Estate Management web site www.cem.ac.uk.
