Part Of The Community
We recognise that the success of our Malls relies on the vibrancy of the surrounding town centre and local community, so our Mall General Managers take pride in actively participating in town centre and local authority activities. The Mall General Managers play an active part in local marketing, security, cleaning and charity initiatives and provide practical support for their local Town Centre Managers. Two examples of our community involvement initiatives are Mall Cares and Mall Safe.
Mall Safe
Mall Safe is our new and innovative safety compliance system for Malls. It incorporates safety into our culture and covers Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures.
The system has been devised with Preston City Council - the first such partnership between a shopping centre owner / operator and a local authority. This partnership has helped us to create a system that overcomes barriers between owners, tenants and the local enforcement authority.
Mall Safe is a standard of excellence that will be awarded to all Malls that successfully complete the Mall Safe accreditation scheme. The first Malls to achieve this standard will receive the award at The Mall's annual conference in 2007.
