Mall Cares
Nearly £900,000 raised in 2007
At The Mall we work energetically to involve the local community in our Malls and contribute to local community development.
Each Mall in our portfolio runs its own unique charitable programme of fundraising activities as part of The Mall Cares programme. Each project is planned and delivered at a local level by The Mall in conjunction with a local partner, and driven by local needs and concerns.
This local nature of The Mall Cares programme is key. The Mall respects its host community - we aim to be an important focus for community life.
In addition to this core programme of charitable work, The Mall allows other local charities to benefit from the footfall in our Malls through appropriate charitable collections. In total, our support touches more than 50 local charities across the country. Over the last five years £1m was raised nationally under The Mall Cares banner.
In 2007 we raised £899,863 through Mall Cares and for 2008 we're aiming to raise £1 million.
